Day 1.Genoa / Genoa, Italy

Being the largest in Italy, Genoa used to be a political nerve center back in the 12th and 13th centuries. Walk through the gates of the Old Town and stroll down its medieval labyrinth-like streets. Did you know? Cristopher Columbus was born in Genoa, and he came to be one of the most famous explorers of the era. Do not miss the Palazzo Torsi, a beautiful palace built with pink-toned stones, and Palazzo Bianco, ideal to marvel at the paintings of long-gone artists. Genoa is also the entry point to the beautiful Cinque Terre region, where colorful villages seem to cling to the cliffs of the coast and where the picturesque resort town of Portofino is located. 
You should know about Génova
Genoa´s beautiful and old Cathedral of San Lorenzo foundation dates back to the 4th or 5th century. Christopher Columbus was born in Genoa in 1451. He is personified the city´s maritime tradition itself. FOOD FACT! the popular Italian sauce with garlic, dried fruit, Parmesan, olive oil, and basil; Pesto, was created here in the 16th century!

Day 2.La Spezia / La Spezia, Italy

The port city of La Spezia, located in Northern Italy, on the border between Liguria and Tuscany, offers an ideal gateway to two of the most famous cities in the country: Pisa and Florence. You will arrive to Pisa in just one hour by car or train. Here you can get a glimpse of the white stone arches of the city's famous leaning tower and its sister structure, Pisa Cathedral. If you prefer, you can spend the day in Florence, almost two hours away by train. Climb to the top of the famous Duomo ( domo ), the nickname of the Italian Gothic cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, to enjoy 360-degree views of the city. Travel to Florence to stroll through San Lorenzo’s market drinking an espresso and to enjoy the aromas of local spices and truffles as you observe all around.
You should know about La Spezia, Italia
Climb the 251 steps of the spectacular Leaning Tower, located in the Field of Miracles in Pisa. DID YOU KNOW? It took nearly 200 years to finish the construction of the 56-meter tower, but it was already leaning when it opened in 1372. While in Florence, you cannot miss the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, whose most frequent name is the Duomo in honor of its red-tiled dome. Do not leave without your photo of the Duomo´s façade, made of green, white, and pink marble, considered the most emblematic monument in the city and whose origin dates back to the year 1296. Got the time? Head inside and admire its 44 stained glass windows and the magnificent Vasari fresco of the Last Judgment.
